Plain language, no lawyer paste. What Echode collects, what it never does, and what to know about the listings.
Privacy
What the suggest form collects. When you suggest a listing, the form asks for your name, your email address, and the details of the listing itself. That information is used for exactly one thing: reviewing the listing and replying to you. The form runs on Cloudflare, submissions are stored in a Notion review queue, and the confirmation email is sent through Resend.
What gets published. Listing information is public by design... the name of the organization or business, its description, and its links are the whole point of a directory. Your email address is never published, and neither is anything else you share privately in the form.
What Echode never does. Your information is never sold, rented, or handed to advertisers. There are no advertising trackers on this site.
Analytics. Echode uses Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics to understand how its pages get used... anonymous heatmaps and usage patterns, looked at in aggregate, to decide what to improve. It is never used to follow you around the web or to advertise to you.
Cookies. This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may use strictly necessary cookies to serve it. The suggest form does not plant tracking cookies.
Your choices. If a listing about you or your organization needs a correction or should come down, say so through the suggest form and it will be handled. The same goes for removing your own contact details from the review queue.
Disclaimer
- Listings, events, and job posts come from the community and from the organizations themselves. Details change... hours, dates, services, eligibility... and Echode cannot guarantee that everything is current. Check with the organization before you go.
- Being listed is not an endorsement. Echode is not affiliated with the organizations and businesses in the directory unless a listing is clearly labeled a partner.
- Echode is a personal community project run by one person. It is not a nonprofit, not an agency, and it does not provide interpreting, counseling, or other professional services itself... it points you to the people who do.
- Links leave this site. Other organizations' websites have their own policies, and Echode is not responsible for their content.
- Paid visibility, when it exists, is always labeled. The community side of Echode is free, and always will be.
